Since 1983, Aertech Machining & Manufacturing has been a proud family-owned company built on precision, integrity, and a deep commitment to quality. Founded by Mike Macchia and carried forward by the Macchia family, Aertech has grown into a trusted aerospace manufacturing partner while staying true to the values that shaped the company from the beginning.

More than four decades later, our family’s name still stands behind everything we produce, inspiring us to deliver exceptional workmanship, dependable service, and lasting relationships with every customer.

Mike Macchia’s entrepreneurial journey began in the garage of his first home, years before Aertech became a reality. A lone Clausing lathe and mill occupied the garage shop, where Mike hand-machined parts for Aeroquip Corporation.

1974

Recognizing the limitations of his garage workshop, Mike expanded his operations to a dedicated 3,000 square-foot shop on Condad St. in Jackson, MI on November 14th of 1983. This move marked the official founding of Aertech Machining & Manufacturing. For the first four months, Mike was the sole employee, however quickly grew to a team of twelve by 1986.

To accommodate further growth, Mike relocated Aertech to a near 10,000 square-foot facility on W Michigan Avenue in 1986. With this change, the company adopted cellular manufacturing methods to organize the shop floor into over 12 specialized machining cells. Employee growth occurred as well, totaling the Aertech team to 35 by 2013. Over this period, the company’s leadership was succeeded by Mike's children, Adam Macchia and Jenny Griffis.

1986

In 2013, Aertech once again relocated to its current 35,000 square-foot facility on Micor Drive. Today, the family-owned company operates 25 machining cells and employs a workforce of nearly 70 people across two shifts. Since 2015, Aertech has been a worldwide AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of components, clamps, couplings, and fittings for the aerospace fluid conveyance industry.

Aertech Machining & Manufacturing Inc. has been producing fittings and couplings for the aerospace fluid conveyance industry for more than 40 years and was founded by Mike Macchia in 1983.

Our strengths lie in our ability to machine Stainless, Titanium, Aluminum and Plastics in quantities from one to one thousand. Aertech has embraced cellular manufacturing, allowing us to produce most parts complete with quick turnaround times.

Quality of product and service is our top priority. We are AS9100D/ISO certified, and we work with a large network of Nadcap-approved suppliers for heat treating, NDT and metal finishing.
